Delete your RenNo Reads account

You can delete your RenNo Reads account and the data tied to it at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1: delete it in the app (immediate)
- Open RenNo Reads and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. It works the same on Android, iPhone and the web version.
Option 2: ask us to do it
If you can't get into the app, email hello@rennoreads.com from the email address your account uses, with the subject “Delete my RenNo Reads account.” We'll delete it and confirm by email, within 30 days at the latest.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, display name and photo
- Your shelves, ratings, reviews and reading history
- Your friendships, book club memberships and notifications
- Your reading goals and personal details (such as name, city, birthday and Instagram username, if you added them)
What we keep
- Support messages you sent us are kept as anonymous notes, with your name and email removed, so we can still fix problems you reported.
- A record that an account was deleted, with a date and no identifying information, so we can count sign-ups accurately.
- Records we are legally required to keep, for example for tax or fraud purposes.
- Copies in our provider's encrypted backups, which age out on their normal backup cycle.
If you have a RenNo Reads+ subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play or the Apple App Store. Cancel it first in your store account: in Google Play, go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions; on iPhone, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Otherwise the store may keep billing you.
